About this case study

Basic identifying information about you and your setting. Clinician name is optional — you may submit anonymously.

2

The client context

Describe the clinical picture without any identifying information. Focus on the presenting issue and therapeutic goal.

Confidentiality reminder

Do not include any identifying information — name, age, school, location, or any detail that could identify the child or their family. Describe the clinical picture only. If you are unsure whether a detail is identifying, leave it out.

Focus on patterns of behaviour, emotional presentation, and therapeutic goals. Not personal details.

3

How you used the deck

The practical details of implementation — format, introduction, frequency, and any adaptations you made.

Adaptations are valuable clinical information — please be specific. Other clinicians benefit from knowing what modifications work.

4

What happened

This is the heart of the case study. Be as specific as you can while maintaining confidentiality.

What makes a strong case study

The most useful case studies describe specific moments — what the child did or said, what shifted, and what the clinician noticed in response. Generalisations like "the child improved" are less useful than "the child began using the Pause card independently when entering the room, before any prompting."

Negative findings are important. We want an honest evidence base, not a curated one.

Outcomes & reflections

Your clinical observations and reflections on the experience. What shifted, what you noticed, what you'd do differently.
